Robert Shahady

Robert Shahady is a native-born Floridian and is the son of Partner/Shareholder, Tom Shahady.  Robert was admitted to practice law in the State of Florida in 2006. His areas of particular interest and practice include commercial, construction and real estate litigation.  Robert’s list of clients include real estate investors, private lenders, commercial and residential property owners, contractors, subcontractors, design and construction professionals, commercial tenants, and other businesses involved in commerce.

Since 2006, Robert has been a member of The Florida Bar and the Broward County Bar Association.  Robert is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the U.S. District Court of the Middle District of Florida, and the State Courts of Florida.  

Robert received his B.S. in Business Marketing from Florida State University in 2002 and his J.D. from the Barry University School of Law in 2006.  In 2005, Robert participated in a summer abroad program on global affairs at the University of Innsbruck, Austria.  Prior to attending college and law school, Robert graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School.

Prior to joining Shahady & Wurtenberger, P.A., Robert worked as a solo practitioner practicing in the areas of business law, in addition to commercial and real estate litigation.  From 2014-2023, in addition to his legal practice, Robert worked as a licensed contractor advisor and agent for the National Football League Players’ Association and Canadian Football League Players’ Association.  Robert has argued before the Fourth and Second District Courts of Appeal, and successfully obtained verdicts for his clients in both jury and non-jury lawsuits.

When Robert is not practicing law, he participates in charities such as the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Alzheimer’s Association  and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, where he won the honor of 2008 Man of the ear for his fundraising efforts.
