Mr. González, an international attorney not admitted to practice in Florida, Chairs the firm’s International Practice Group and is a member of the Latin America and Corporate Transactions practice groups.

Mr. González practices in the areas of international cross border and corporate finance, asset restructuring and mergers and acquisitions, providing transactional and strategic advice and services to US-based and foreign clients doing business internationally, with a particular emphasis in Latin America.

As a result of the experience gained in over 35 years doing business in the region, Mr. González has developed a significant practice serving national and multinational clients as outside regional counsel for Latin America capitalizing on his bilingual and bi-cultural capabilities. In this capacity, he has handled matters ranging from the negotiation of sale and distribution agreements, to handling sophisticated financial transactions and interacting with local government entities in the content of multinational compliance initiatives or responding to administrative or criminal investigations. His background includes working for large international law firms and investment banks, as well as the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (World Bank) and the Inter American Development Bank (IADB) in Central and South America, the Caribbean, South Asia and the Middle East on the successful execution of privatization programs and specific M&A transactions valued at over $18 billion.

Mr. González is also a Principal and Managing Director of BlackBow Capital, a private equity and venture capital fund manager with a successful track record of above-market returns specializing in early commercial stage ventures in the areas of financial services – with a particular emphasis in payment platforms and micro-lending, loyalty, and travel technology.

As an individual investor, Mr. González is a co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Our Microlending (www.ourmicrolending.com), and a Managing Director of FinCorp Financial Services, a specialist corporate finance, merchant banking and financial services company focused on cross border transactions in Latin America. He is a Member of the Board of The Group of Fifty Foundation (www.g50.org), the Center for Democracy and Development in the Americas (www.cddamericas.org) and chairs the Editorial Board of IQLatino (www.iqlatino.org).
