Robert Shahady

Robert Shahady is a native-born Floridian and is the son of Partner/Shareholder, Tom Shahady. Rob was admitted to practice law in the State of Florida in 2006. His areas of particular interest include commercial and real estate litigation. He represents real estate investors, lenders, commercial and residential landlords, commercial tenants, and other parties involved in the real estate industry.
Rob is also a licensed contractor advisor and agent for the National Football League. Rob is a member of ProPlayer Sports, LLC, a full-service sports agency and marketing firm. In addition to negotiating contracts for his athletes, Rob uses his law practice to assist his players in achieving their goals.
He is a member of The Florida Bar and the Broward County Bar Association. Rob is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District for Florida, and the State Courts of Florida.
Rob received his B.S. from Florida State University in 2002 and his J.D. from the Barry University School of Law in 2006. In 2005, Rob participated in a summer abroad program on global affairs at the University of Innsbruck, Austria. Prior to attending college and law school, Rob graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School.
Prior to joining Shahady & Wurtenberger, P.A., Rob worked as a solo practitioner practicing in the areas of business law, in addition to commercial and real estate litigation. Rob has argued before the Fourth District Court of Appeal, and successfully obtained plaintiff’s judgments in both jury and non-jury lawsuits.
When Rob is not practicing law, he participates in charities such as the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Alzheimer’s Association and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, where he won the honor of 2008 Man of the Year for his fundraising efforts.
